Default Quick Question

Hiya

Im still working on my script to retain the previous installs computername after a fresh image, which will be followed by the AD hook by Mike Bombich. some of you might have noticed a few topics here and there.

My question now is, how can I dynamically assign sizes to a new partition with the volumeResize command?

The command goes like this:

Code:diskutil resizeVolume disk0s2 size JHFS Volumename sizeBut JHFS/resizeVolume only accepts specified numbers xG for instance. Neither the -R or x commands works, Ive tried.

The problem is, this script is supposed to be automated -a pre-flight script for a NetInstall image - and I am dealing with five different SKUs. From laptops with 60GB HDDs to iMacs with 500GB HDDs. If I take the lowest common denominator 591g for two volumes Ill be downsizing the HDDs for the rest of the machines a lot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
